HGD Holdings was founded in 2006 by Harry Stahl, the Company's President. Mr. Stahl is a veteran and served during the Vietnam era. In September 2016, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Center for Verification and Evaluation, verified the Company as a veteran owned small business (VOSB). We are very proud of this designation and we are looking forward to helping the men and women who have served and are serving our country. Harry is also a proud member of American Legion Post 291 in Newport Beach, California, which is very active in veteran and community outreach programs.
During its early years, HGD Holdings was primarily a research and development company. It worked with entrepreneurs and small companies to analyze market trends and to develop technologies and products, both alone and in collaboration with others, to realize the potential of niche opportunities in the marketplace. In 2010 the Company determined that assistive listening products for television would be a profitable niche market for a growing aging population experiencing hearing loss. For the next several years Mr. Stahl learned as much as he could about hearing loss and the products that were available in the marketplace for hearing impaired individuals. During this time, he also worked on the development of assistive listening products.
In early 2016 Mr. Stahl reached an agreement with TV Ears, Inc. to be the exclusive distributor to federal and state government agencies of its best selling brand of assistive listening products for television. TV Ears has been successfully selling its products commercially for over 15 years and its products are nationally recognized for their high quality, reliability, durability and affordability. We know that these products, and the other quality products we sell, will improve the quality of life for both our veterans and the greater hearing impaired community.
